Melania Trump reignites wild body double conspiracy

Melania Trump has been surrounded by a body double conspiracy theory for years. Now, it has been rekindled once again after fans discovered an odd detail about the First Lady of the United States during the White House’s Easter Egg Roll.

The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has been accused of using a body double several times. The conspiracy theory dates back a decade and, for example, was reignited when she and her son, Barron Trump, voted in the last presidential election.

Now, it has once again become a talking point on social media, and one odd detail stands out to those who believe it is someone other than Melania who attended the White House Easter Egg Roll.

The Slovenian-born former model attended the traditional White House Egg Roll together with her husband, President Donald Trump. The event dates back to President Rutherford B. Hayes, who started the tradition in 1878.

Speaking in front of the large crowd, Melania said, “We are celebrating a very special Easter Egg Roll this year because it’s the 250th birthday of this beautiful nation. Enjoy it, and I hope you will have a wonderful day.”

During the event on the White House lawn, President Trump also spoke about his wife. He was searching for her, although she stood next to him.

“It was a big thing to our great First Lady, who’s here someplace. Let’s see. I think this is our First Lady,” Trump said, adding that Melania is a “movie star who came from Hollywood,” referring to her self-titled Amazon documentary, to which Melania Trump smiled and laughed.

But social media users had some questions. Some claimed that it wasn’t Melania Trump at the event, but a “fake” one. The conspiracy theory has resurfaced as some argued that her appearance and behavior was noticeably different from past events-

“Melania never smiles that much,” one user claimed.

Another asked, “Is that Fake Melania?” while a third wrote, referring to Trump’s comment, “He can’t tell the decoys apart anymore.”

“Is he telling on himself that this isn’t the real Melania next to him?” another questioned.

Another person challenged the “fake Mel’ania” theory, arguing that she would’ve worn sunglasses if she had something to hide.

“Odd not to have the sunglasses if it was fake,” the user wrote.

The “Fake Melania” conspiracy theory has, as mentioned, been a talking point online for almost a decade. In fact, in 2019, after a visit to Alabama with his wife, Donald Trump decided to address speculation that she had a body double.

“The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places. They are only getting more deranged with time!” Trump wrote.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump’s spokesperson at the time, Stephanie Grisham, branded the conspiracy theory “shameful.”

“Once again, we find ourselves consumed with a ridiculous non-story when we could be talking about the work the First Lady is doing on behalf of children,” Grisham said.
