Gavin Newsom roasts Donald Trump after bizarre post

If you thought one-word tweets from Donald Trump couldnโ€™t get any stranger, think again. Over the weekend, President Trump dropped yet another cryptic post on social media: simply โ€œBela.โ€ Thatโ€™s it.

No context, no explanation โ€” just the single, mysterious word. Naturally, this didnโ€™t go unnoticed.

If you thought Donald Trumpโ€™s social media could get any weirder, enter California Governor Gavin Newsom. Over the past few months, Newsom has gone all-in on an aggressive online strategy, mimicking Trumpโ€™s all-caps rants, nicknames, and chaotic style, and the results are hilarious according to many.

Over the weekend, the governorโ€™s social media was on fire, posting several memes that quickly went viral. One featured a seemingly heartfelt (and AI-generated) photo of Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock, and Tucker Carlson praying over him.

Newscom also mocked Trump for copying his signature finger-pointing pose.

And if that wasnโ€™t enough, Newsomโ€™s team dropped a hilarious photoshop of JD Vance on Monday, as the viral Olympic breakdancer Rachael โ€œRaygunโ€ Gunn, turning him into a meme icon overnight.

But the one that really stole the show was Newsomโ€™s take on Donald Trumpโ€™s bizarre โ€œBelaโ€ post.

On Sunday, Trump suddenly shared a single-word post: โ€œBela.โ€ The White House has yet to comment on Trumpโ€™s post but social media users quickly pointed out that it fits the pattern of Trumpโ€™s recent one-word posts, which many joked โ€œlook like he just sat on his phone.โ€

People online also compared the post to a 2017 tweet on Twitter, now X, where Trump wrote, โ€œDespite the constant negative press covfefe.โ€ He later deleted that tweet and reposted it with a reference to it.

โ€œWho can figure out the true meaning of โ€˜covfefeโ€™ ???โ€ Trump tweeted. โ€œEnjoy!โ€

California Governor Gavin Newsom, never one to hold back, of course had a field day after the Bela tweet. His reaction? He started with a simple declaration: โ€œWE BROKE DONALD TRUMP.โ€ But he didnโ€™t stop there.

In true viral fashion, Newsomโ€™s parody tweet went on to mock the spelling error and poke fun at Trumpโ€™s โ€œtiny handsโ€ and famously questionable grammar. The mock tweet read:

โ€œDONALD (TINY HANDS), HAS WRITTEN HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY THIS MORNING โ€” UNFORTUNATELY (LOW IQ) HE SPELLED IT WRONG โ€” โ€˜BETA.โ€™ SOON YOU WILL BE A โ€˜FIREDโ€™ BETA BECAUSE OF MY PERFECT, โ€˜BEAUTIFUL MAPS.โ€™ THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! โ€” GCNโ€

And eventually, it made its way to his primary account with this post:
