Kat Timpf announced she was taking a break from Gutfeld! as sheโs about to undergo another surgery related to her breast cancer treatment.
Theย Fox Newsย personality announced earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The news came during a time which was supposed to be the happiest of her life โ her pregnancy.
โIโm lucky that we found the cancer so early; Iโm lucky to be my sonโs mom,โ sheย announcedย on Instagram in February.
โI mean, I know Iโm biased, but the little dude absolutely rules โ and not just because he might have saved my life.โ
Since then, she had underwent a double mastectomy and returned to television in May, joining Greg Gutfeld on theย Fox Nationย show,ย What Did I Miss,ย The Sunย reported.
Now, Timpf will be off TV for a couple more weeks due to another surgery.
โThe best case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again, so this is the first step in that,โ she posted on her social media, and added: โJust so the internet canโt come up with theories about where I am, thatโs where I am.โ
Timpf also expressed her gratitude to everyone who sent her well-wishes. โHuge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love you all so much,โ she wrote.

While she received words of encouragement by her fellow colleagues and many of her fans for speaking publicly of her cancer, some internet trolls cast doubt on her parenting abilities and diagnosis, forcing Timpf to defend herself. โI swear I know more about my case than people online,โ she posted back in March.
Also, some criticized her for attending Coachella, her first public outing since giving birth to her son.
โOne fun thing Iโve noticed about being a mom is if you ever post with your baby, or God forbid, having fun without your baby, people are like โOh my God, whereโs her baby? Sheโs a mother. Should a mother be acting like this? Grow up!’โย sheย postedย on her social media accountsย in April.
โIโve only been a mom for a couple of months, but Iโm starting to think that the only way to be a parent and avoid backlash is to be a dad.โ
