Self expression is a fundamental part of being yourself. Tattoos are a wonderful way for people to be able to express themselves through art. 51-year-old Richard Huff has chosen tattoos as the way of expressing himself as well and has over 240ย tattoos.
The self-proclaimed ink addict has a family with five children and his wife. His wife often posts videos and pictures of him with their kids which are not always well received by viewers.
51-year-old Huff wants to make it clear that their family is โnoย differentโ from any other out there. But he has shared that strangers online mock him all the time because of his appearance.
He shared how it all started for him. โItย became anย addiction, Iย started with myย legs and worked myย wayย up,โย Huff said. He shared that 85% of his body is now covered in tattoos. Among the tattoos are names of his children and his daughterโs lips.
โIย want toย beย 100% covered inย tattoos probably within the next four years,โย sharedย Richard. โIย donโt know ifย itโs theย painย orย the artwork that you put onย you, but itย just becomes fascinating when youโre able toย doย this.โ
He shared that having so many tattoos brings with it its own set of problems. Heย sharedย how children at his kidsโ school found him scary. His daughter shared, โThey say, โah itโs aย bit scaryโ andย I say โno, myย dad isย not scary, heย isย good with tattoos.โโ
As for his wife Marita, she revealed that she was scared of Richard as well. She said, โIย did judge Richard based onย his looks atย first but asย I got toย know him aย little bit, heย isย actually aย big-hearted person.โ
She often posts about her husband and how he loves her in a way no one before him has. She oftenย talks aboutย all the positives and how he is a wonderful husband andย father. Marita had three children from previous relationships and has shared how Richard is the more than a real father to his kids as he has stepped for them tremendously.
Richardย shared, โIย participate inย the PTA, Iย go toย all myย kidsโ functions.โ
But even with all this information about his gentle soul out there, people still criticize him. One comment read, โIโm not against tattoos, butย I mean honestly, does heย really need tattoos onย his face like that?โ
But there are others who also defend Richard. One said, โEveryone keeps talking about his face tattoo. Heย likesย it. Heย gotย it. Heโs aย good father. Let himย be.โ
Richard himself has talked about the negative comments, he said, โIfย somebody can make negative comments like that, thereโs something wrong with them themselves that they would have toย judge somebody else.โ Adding, โThis isย what weย did and weโre happy. Weโve been together six years our kids are happy and toย us, thatโs all that matters.โ
Richardย addsย that while at times negative comments can be a bit much, it does not change how much he loves his family or vice versa. โHaving tattoos does not scare myย children, itย does not make meย aย bad father, itย makes myย kids get aย different perspective onย life,โ he said.
