Jason Kelce‘s wife Kylie has only one request for her husband as he embarks on his weight-loss journey months after retiring from the NFL.
In March, Kelce hung his cleats up after a celebrated 13-season career in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has since made his goal to lose 35lbs public as he stepped away from the football field.
Speaking on the Centered on Buffalo Podcast, Kelce told host Eric Wood what he is trying to avoid to stay in Kylie’s good graces.
‘I was working out the other day and Kylie [says], ‘If you get a six-pack, I will be furious,” Kelce shared.
After initially setting 250lbs as his target weight post-retirement, Kelce revealed that he has since moved that goalpost and spoke about his struggles.

Kelce embarked on a weight-loss journey after retiring from the NFL earlier this year
‘I think I’m somewhere between 270 and 275lbs,’ Kelce said. ‘I’m happy with it. I still wanna get down to 260 eventually this year. But a lot of guys lose too much too fast, so it doesn’t fall off properly or you look drastically different.
‘As I’ve gone down, I feel like 260’s a right number,’ he added. ‘We’ll reassess when we get there.’
Shortly after calling time on his playing days, Kelce signed a multi-year contract with ESPN, which pays $1.8million annually, to be an NFL analyst for the network.
With a hefty amount of his time spent on the road, Kelce spoke about indulging in different cuisines and devouring hefty amounts of food in various places.

‘I was doing really good and then, uh… I keep doing good and then I’m in Cincinnati yesterday and I’m freakin’ eating these chicken sandwiches,’ he said. ‘You load it up when you’re on the road too much.’
Kelce came off an eventful week while fulfilling his ESPN duties. On Oct. 13, the former center returned to Eagle territory and drank with fans during a tailgate before Philadelphia’s first home win this season against the Browns.
During the pregame festivities, Kelce witnessed a couple get engaged before him and a mob of Eagles diehards.
Kelce was also downing drinks outside MetLife Stadium before the Jets-Bills game the following day. He later clarified that he was completely sober for the broadcast.
