Jason Momoa has confirmed he is dating again. As pictures of his new lover hit social media, fans started comparing her with his family members. While some say his ex-spouse is more beautiful, others find it unsettling that his girlfriend looks like his child.
Momoa is best known for his starring role in the 2018 film, “Aquaman” in which he appeared opposite Amber Heard. The two reprised their roles in the movie sequel five years later in 2023.
Aside from his thriving Hollywood career, the movie actor’s love life has also captured the public’s attention through the years. That is because he has been romantically linked to some famous women.

Momoa was once married to “The Cosby Show” actress, Lisa Bonet, and together, they made a formidable pair in the public eye. The former couple first started dating in 2005 after being introduced by mutual friends.
At the time, Bonet, who is 12 years older than Momoa, was a single mother raising her then-teenage daughter Zoë Kravitz, whom she shares with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
Momoa has since established meaningful relationships with both his stepdaughter and her father through his romance with Bonet. He calls her “Zozo bear” and she, in turn, calls him “Papa bear.” Momoa has also expressed his deep admiration for his stepchild’s father which has equally been reciprocated.
The “Baywatch” alum and Bonet walked down the aisle in October 2017. They welcomed two children together, daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf, who are teenagers now.
In a 2018 interview, Momoa gushed about his marriage with Bonet, stating how much of a humorous relationship they had. “Not a lot of people know how absolutely hysterical she is. She makes me laugh and is just really quirky,” he divulged.

“Jason is very focused on his career and wants to work. He has found success and it’s driving him and is very fulfilling. Lisa wants to be in LA and is not interested in going on location for long periods of time with him,” the source disclosed.
According to the insider, Bonet’s priorities changed as she now had her focus on health and wellness, which motivated her. And because Momoa’s lifestyle did not match hers, they ultimately drifted apart and began to seek different things.
Two years after announcing their split, Bonet officially filed for divorce in January 2024. She cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of separation as October 2020.
The Superior Court of California granted the divorce filing a day after Bonet filed for the dissolution of the former couple’s marriage. The duo had reportedly worked out the terms of their divorce before filing, as they were awarded joint custody of their kids with no child or spousal support.
Following the divorce, Momoa briefly dated Mexican singer and actress Eiza Gonzalez, and they broke up in June 2022. A source revealed that the two are different people, while another shared that they hoped to work things out.

Since the breakup, Momoa has found love again with another well-known Hollywood figure. The woman is also a divorcee like her famous boyfriend. The 32-year-old was previously married to a lawyer, Edgardo Carnales, whom she wed in July 2019.
However, the pair, who kept their romance private, divorced in June 2023 following over three years of marriage. She listed the date of their separation as January 2023 and requested that both parties have their right to support to be terminated.
The “Emerald City” star settled her divorce months before going public with Momoa. Aside from their very public relationship, the actress is also the daughter of superstar Guatemalan singer and songwriter Ricardo Arjona.
She once raved about her famous father in an interview, saying, “He motivates me and pushes my limits and makes sure that I’m always growing as an artist.” Before finding success in Hollywood, Arjona worked as a waitress and hostess in New York City.
At the time, she was studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. “I learned the value of money and working hard. It helped me because I got to be on my feet. And I think today I can do 16-hour days thanks to being a waitress,” she once said.
