Trump wrote on Truth Social, “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW,” seemingly warning it against attacking Tehran.

Trump had said that last night’s truce heralded a new chapter of “world peace” and cautioned the warring parties not to break it.

Though Israel claimed to have intercepted two ballistic missiles this morning, hopes that the conflict would stop were short-lived.

The IDF was directed to “respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran,” according to Israel Katz, the country’s defence minister.

In a post on X, Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), stated that a diplomatic resolution to the long-running dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program might result from Iran resuming cooperation with the agency.

Evin prison officials and visitors killed in Israeli strike, Iranian state media reports

Iranian state media reported this morning that an Israeli strike at Tehran’s infamous Evin jail yesterday resulted in the deaths of multiple detainees.

The Iranian judiciary spokesperson said that ‘a number of judicial employees and those who had visited the prison’ were killed in the explosion, which demolished a portion of the jail, in a statement published on X by the Tasnim news agency.

According to the statement, the strike took place as families were visiting.

The fate of the inmates and the precise number of deaths have not been made public.

Israel attacked the Evin prison, which it said housed political detainees and opponents of the administration, as part of a massive offensive aimed at undermining the regime in Tehran.
