Henny Lim is a flight attendant with the Philippines-based airline Cebu Pacific who recently took toย TikTokย to share a fun fact about one thing the cabin crew does during take off and landing.

Namely, Lim explained why the cabin crew buckle up in their jump seats before proceeding to sit on their hands in the lead-up to their planes landing, something knows as the โ€œbracing position.โ€

โ€œThis includes being aware of emergency equipment in the location, door operation, commands given & any visual clues outside of the aircraft,โ€ she said and wished everyone a safe flight.

According to a memo from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the bracing position serves two purposes, reducing flailing and reducing secondary impact.

Not only Lim but other flight attendants too share their flying experiences and use the social media platforms to educate passengers about safety protocols.

For example, flight attendant Esther Sturrusย sharedย how to be a perfect passenger, writing that the best passengers are โ€œpolite and friendly,โ€ as well as those who are โ€œcourteous and engage in friendly conversation.โ€

In another video she shared with her 223,800 followers, Sturrus explained how to keep the clothes fresh and smelling good during long time travels.
