In the first episode, Devon, a new intern, begins his residency with high hopes, but is soon faced with the harsh reality that not every saved life is a win. He performs CPR on a patient for nearly half an hour, and despite he gets the young womanโs heart beat again, sheโs left brain damaged. Itโs a gut-punch moment โ the first in the series that challenges the main characters and the audience.
The series also follows the main charactersโ personal lives, their relationships, and their ups and downs.
