For many years, Queen Camilla has been King Charles’ pillar of support. That, however, is not how the public perceived her during her tenure in the royal realm. The general public’s acceptance of the former Parker Bowles wasn’t simple. Prince William and Prince Harry were two individuals who had a great deal of issues with her dating Charles.
Prince William and Queen Camilla don’t seem to be at odds with one another right now. Due to King Charles’s and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, they have both had to pick up their royal game this year, and they have both been commended for their efforts.
However, Queen Camilla continues to hold her position as queen, making her superior to Prince William and Kate Middleton. A recent book says Camilla should tell William and Kate that she feels the couple doesn’t always honour the king. Actually, the one time she left the couple stranded, she made it quite evident who was in charge.
The public’s opinion of Queen Camilla has increased from zero to one hundred. She turned into the “evil” figure who many held responsible for the dissolution of King Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage years ago. After the princess passed very tragically in Paris in 1997, she and Charles started dating, and eventually got married. Many people found it difficult to accept her as a member of the royal family.
It’s possible that Camilla finds it harder to be strict with William because she is a stepmother, but it seems like she has made it clear what she won’t tolerate. According to Robert Jobson, the author of the recently released book Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography, Queen Camilla frequently subdues William to remind him of the royal hierarchy when she senses that he isn’t treating his father with respect.
She didn’t want to just tell them once, so she took a rather unusual step to remind William and Kate who was in charge.
In his book, Jobson described the time the Prince and Princess of Wales requested to travel from Windsor Castle with King Charles and Queen Camilla in their security escort. But William and Kate had not arrived on time, so they had to wait. Camilla suggested they go without the couple after Charles waited for them for several minutes.
Jobson stated in Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography that when William and Catherine came out, all they could see were the blue flashing lights of the motorcycles vanishing in the distance. Like any relationship, Camilla and William’s has ups and downs, but today they have handled a challenging moment together with bravery.
William and Camilla faced a difficult predicament when they learnt that King Charles and Kate Middleton were diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
