After being unlucky in love with his previous relationships, Big Ed popped the question to his beloved just hours after the duo courted in a whirlwind romance.
Wedding bells may be ringing soon for “90 Day Fiancé” star Edward “Big Ed” Brown as the TV personality is engaged again after things did not work out with his ex. Confirming his engagement news with TMZ, Big Ed divulged how he proposed to 29-year-old Porscha Raemond, whom he met during a fan meet-and-greet at Capriotti’s in Plantation, Florida.
Referring to the fact that the newly engaged couple met at a sandwich shop, Big Ed joked about how when they encountered each other “it was love at first bite.” The pair was so head over heels for one another that Big Ed ended up popping the question 24 hours after their first meeting.
Further proving the spontaneity of the proposal is the fact that Big Ed proposed to Porscha with a paperclip he got from the restaurant manager, which he fashioned into a makeshift engagement ring.
Should Big Ed and Porscha make it down the aisle, this would be his second marriage as Big Ed was first married to a woman named Sandra Heckman many years ago.
In a season 8 episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Liz and Big Ed met face-to-face after their wedding fell through.
The ex-couple, who welcomed a daughter named Tiffany during their relationship, tied the knot before Big Ed’s breakout appearance in “90 Day Fiancé” and ended up divorcing in 1992 because Big Ed was reportedly unfaithful.
Years after his divorce, Big Ed tried to find love again. In 2020, when viewers were introduced to him on season four of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” Big Ed had traveled to the Philippines to be in a relationship with his then-girlfriend Rose Vega, who is a single mom.
In that episode, Big Ed spoke about how he had visited the village where Rose resided and where he also got to meet her son, Prince, and her sister.
At that time, the two were set to leave Rose’s home village to go on vacation together because Big Ed said he wanted to gauge whether Rose was with him for love or simply to use him to get her and her family out of the Philippines.
After they landed in their destination of Palawan — a beautiful island in the Philippines — things went south when he gifted her mouthwash, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. “Your breath is not pretty,” explained Big Ed regarding his reason for giving her the dental hygiene products.
To say the least, Rose made it clear with her facial expressions that she was unimpressed with what she had been given.
Even though Big Ed had tried to explain that he was acting out of concern for Rose’s health, she remained deeply offended.
After things did not work out with Rose, the TV star tried his hand at love again on “90 Day: The Single Life,” which is a “90 Day” spinoff. He was in a relationship with a woman named Liz Woods.
An episode from the series shows how loved-up the duo was after having just spent the night together at a hotel. “She is so beautiful, and soft and caring. She’s a giver,” gushed Big Ed about Liz who he had asked to be his girlfriend on the same episode.
While the two went couple-status official after Big Ed asked to go steady, according to TMZ, they had a rocky relationship filled with breakups and reconciliations. At some point, the duo was set to tie the knot at the altar but things did not work out.
In a season 8 episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Liz and Big Ed met face-to-face after their wedding fell through. They engaged in an emotional conversation in which Big Ed explained why the wedding was called off, and the two parted ways for the final time.
Now that he is engaged again, only time will tell if Big Ed and his new fiancée will stay together long enough to make it to the aisle.
